gorengan

you can find banana, tempe, tofu, talas, sukun (Artocarpus altilis), mix vegetable on flour etc, where all are fried here. and we call it gorengan (fried snacks).

Fried banana actually sounds quite tasty, and I often have fried tofu.

I love goreng pisang! Sukun - I learnt that it is called Bread Fruit in one of the Treasure Hunt I joined. We were asked to look for Bread Fruit but none of us knew what it was!

And I like this photo! Very nice depiction of daily life. Anyway, I always like photos of people and more so one that tells a story of their lives! Great pix!

I am a newcomer here. I love your pictures ! Especially the ones showing street live.
I am dutch and I am living in France since 1 year. Born in Jakarta and emigrated when I was 14.
I was back in Indonesia for my study in 1977-1978 and spent almost one year in Bogor. I was addicted to combro !!
I couldn't find any combro on the picture with the "tukang gorengan". They used to be sold together with tahu goreng.
