it's the roof of one of IPB's building.
IPB stands for Institute Pertanian Bogor (or Bogor Agricultural University), the most famous agricultural university in Indonesia.

starbucks

originally from here, starbucks is everywhere. even a small town like bogor has one. the photo is inside the only starbucks in bogor. they have some tables in the terrace too.

snake fruit

is the other name for salak fruit (Salacca zalacca).

floor pattern at cibubur junction

cibubur is an area between jakarta and bogor. cibubur junction is a mall where we went last weekend. it's not a fancy mall, compare to shopping malls in big city like jakarta. this is the photo of the marble floor pattern inside the mall.

rain drops at night

it was raining at that night. taken from the window of trans pakuan bus. on my way home.

the guard

usually there are 2 of this guy placed by the entrance of a place. maybe they're meant to be the 'guards' of the place.

kiddy cut

this is a place for your little one to get haircut. it looks fun for me, but i'm not sure the kids love to get haircut. i witnessed kid screams when getting haircut.

the brigde at sempur

the bridge crosses above ciliwung river.
the photo was taken on dry season, so we still can see the river base.
during the rain season, the river send a big amount of water, causing flood to jakarta, the capital.

orchid exhibition 2

more orchids from the same exhibition of my last post. some of these orchids looks so unique and interesting. too bad i'm very bad at keeping any plant.

last weekend, i passed an orchid exhibition. i stopped by and i was lucky they let me took some photos of the the flowers without buying any of it.

becak

becak (cyclo) has been banned in jakarta since a long time ago. according to the government, it's inhuman. but in small city like bogor, you still can find it.

met liefde

ice cappuccino on the left and four seasons on the right. i had no idea what's the four seasons one before i tried it. i just ordered it because i think it'll look good in the photo.

bumbu desa

after the success of its restaurants in bandung, bumbu desa opens more restaurant in other cities such as jakarta, surabaya and bogor. bumbu desa means village's spice. this is the interior of the restaurant, with some black and white photographes of village's life as wall decoration.

joglo detail

this is the roof detail of joglo, javanese traditional house. it is said the detail is placed there to protect the house from bad spirits.

sunrise on highway

we were on our way through jagorawi toll way, on our way to catch boat exploring kepulauan seribu (thousand islands) in north of jakarta, when i caught this sunrise. isn't it accidentally beautiful?

pay it forward

since a couple months ago, people have to pay more for passing on the toll roads in indonesia. on the right hand side of the photo shows the new price and on the left side is someone who was paying the toll road upon his/her arrival in bogor.

angkot

here's angkot (angkutan kota), the most popular public transportation in bogor. they're green minibus that almost impossible for anyone to miss it. they stop anywhere they want and apparently there are too many of them, so people often blame them as the cause of traffic jam.
F is the plat number for vehicle in bogor.

it will become rice soon.
we still have a lot off paddy fields in bogor

oxtail soup

this famous oxtail soup warung has been in air mancur (fountain) area since the dutch colonial time. it survives for 3 generations so the owner today is the grandson of the original owner.

pink hibiscus

hibiscus is one of the most popular flower in indonesia. maybe because it's easy to plant, low maintenance and bloom all year long. the name in indonesian in kembang sepatu (shoe flower). i have no idea why the name of this beautiful flower has something to do with shoe...

this old ficus (beringin in bahasa) is in the front yard of bogor palace

bubble in bottles

these are the bottles contain the liquid to make bubble from previous post. according to the guy, he didn't made it out of soap but from some leaves.

this guy was demonstrating the bubble he sold. the normal bubble made of soap is usually not that big but he has this new creation and i can't help not to buy it.
